Joeseph Robinson became Principal
Oboe of the Philharmonic in 1978 at the invitation of Zubin Mehta. In addition
to being one of the most distinguished symphony orchestra musicians in the USA,
he has been active in educational projects, has a master's degree in public
administration, and has lectured widely on orchestral governance as well as
the interpretative art of music.
