In the 1980s CDs replaced LPs and cassettes, thanks to their unparalleled clarity and crispness of sound and complete absence of background noise.
Now comes the SACD (Super Audio Compact Disc), with even finer engineering and audio quality. Cala Records, like most companies, manufactures "SACD Hybrids", which contain two layers of digital information so they can be played on both SACD and standard CD players.
The Baby Cello SACD Version and the other SACD releases on Cala Records are also effective on Surround Sound (5-1) systems and compatible home entertainment centres. Further, they are playable on all "universal" and most DVD machines.
