The 20 cellos of the London Cello Orchestra made a successful return tour of South Korea this July. They received standing ovations from full houses at the new Lotte Concert Hall in Seoul and the Seoul Arts Center.
The London Cello Orchestra is a concert ensemble arising from the renowned
London Sound series of recordings by Cala Records. Its 20 Members are drawn from London's finest solo, chamber and orchestral cellists, together with highly talented emerging players associated with the Arts Global foundation.
Conducted by
Geoffrey Simon, the London Cello Orchestra has performed for
H.M. The Queen and H.R.H. The Duke of Edinburgh in London.
It has appeared in Geneva, New York, Philadelphia and throughout South Korea.
